ABOUT HARRINGTON.

Harrington Pepsi is a locally owned Pepsi Franchise that was started in 1937. Harrington’s territory covers Butte, Bozeman, Helena and the surrounding communities. Being an independent franchise they also get to distribute many other beverage brands. In addition to delivering non-alcoholic beverage product, Harrington’s also has a vending company, Golden West Vending, and a restaurant supply company, Harrington Restaurant Equipment.

Harrington Pepsi is currently being managed by the 3rd generation of the family and is looking forward to passing it onto the 4th generation.

THE MAKING OF

Harrington Pepsi currently has approximately 200 employees covering production, sales and distribution across 13 southwest Montana counties. Harrington Pepsi is a strong supporter of our local communities and is a beverage partner and supporter of all of the colleges and universities in the areas we serve. We are proud to be the only soft drink production facility remaining in the state of Montana. Today, the Harrington Pepsi-Cola territory covers all of southwest Montana to include the cities of Butte, Bozeman, Helena, Anaconda, Livingston, Dillon and all of Yellowstone National Park.

Harrington Pepsi- Cola Bottling Company was founded in 1937 by Philip Harrington who began producing Pepsi-Cola in a small facility in Butte, Montana as one of the first Pepsi franchises in Montana. In the early years distribution was limited to primarily just the Butte area but Philip later expanded into the Bozeman and Helena Montana markets.

In 1963 Philip’s sons, Don and John, moved the bottling plant to its current location on Holmes Avenue in Butte. From there the business and production continued to grow with Harrington Company. Products produced today include Pepsi Cola brands, Seven-Up, A&W Root Beer, Sunkist and Squirt, along with Aquafina Water and Lipton Iced Teas.

In 1972 Don Harrington, Philip’s son, took over the day to day operations of Harrington Pepsi. Don was very active in the business as the owner/president and over time expanded into other business opportunities.

In 1980 Don added Harrington Restaurant Equipment to the family, a business specializing in all types of convenience store and restaurant equipment sales and installation.

In 1995, Don acquired Golden West Enterprises in Helena, a full line snack and candy vending and office coffee business that eventually expanded into all of the remaining Harrington Bottling Company territories today.

In 1998 Harrington Bottling developed and began to produce its own private label drinking water by the name of Montana’s Treasure. This water is available in a still drinking water, along with a full line of flavored drinking waters and is one of the most recognized water trademarks across all of Montana.
